A suspected drunk driver is to blame in an accident that left a woman dead.
Police say the impaired driver ran a read light at Buckner and Garland Monday night around 11 p.m. Damondrae Garner, 25, collided with the passenger side of a vehicle traveling eastbound on Garland Road, causing the victim’s vehicle to collide with a third car. Minya Paulson, 56, who was in the passenger side of the struck vehicle, died in the crash.
Garner is being charged with intoxication manslaughter, according to the Dallas Police Department.
This is the fourth fatality on Buckner since December, and after the last person was killed in August, a new dedicated turn lane was installed at Buckner and Mercer.
