Dallas police might have caught the Old East Dallas cat burglar, but there’s a new threat in the neighborhood.

A man has robbed at least two people at gunpoint in Junius Heights. On Aug. 14, the robber flagged down a man who was mowing his lawn on Victor. When the victim approached, the robber held a gun to his head and demanded money.

Less than an hour later, a neighbor a few blocks away on Henderson was robbed at gunpoint of $150.

One neighbor made “wanted” fliers with a drawing of the robber’s face. Those robberies both happened in daylight. There have been at least two other daytime gunpoint robberies in Old East Dallas this month, and one person was robbed at knife-point near the Lakewood Theater.
