Jeni’s Ice Cream, an Ohio-based ice cream chain founded by Jeni Britton, has closed its initial Dallas location in Deep Ellum at 2649 Main St.
The Deep Ellum location, which opened in 2021, closed in late March due to rent issues, according to Culture Map.
The closure of the Deep Ellum ice cream shop leaves three Dallas locations remaining. These locations include Victory Park, Prestonwood Place and Lower Greenville.
Jeni’s Ice Cream serves 48 products from wedding cake to brown butter almond brittle. The shop also offers dairy-free and gluten-free products like salted caramel and lemon bar.
Store locations offering Jeni’s include Tom Thumb, Berkeley’s Market and CVS Pharmacy. People can also purchase ice cream pints for pickup or delivery online through their company website.
