NYE at the Granada: Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights

Time to start planning for the holidays. I’m a Virgo; we plan. So I’m making this gingersnap pumpkin pie recipe Kim Pierce recommended for Thanksgiving. These lime Thai basil shortbread cookies with passion fruit glaze will go in my cookie boxes at Christmastime. And Sarah Jaffe is my date for New Year’s Eve at the Kessler Theater, because it’s less than a mile from my home, and Dec. 31 is no day to be out on the roads.

Since the Granada Theater is close to home for y’all, maybe Somebody’s Darlin’ could be your date. The Dallas-based roots-rock band, which just won Best County Act from the Dallas Observer (even though they’ve said “we ain’t country”), opens for Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights on New Year’s Eve, along with the Quaker City Night Hawks.
