Since the article printed, the building has secured two new tenants, which will open soon in Old East Dallas.

Josie’s Grocery, with its refreshing frozen beverages and colorful ice cream selection, plans to relocate from its current home at 2325 Fitzhugh. The business also offers freshly prepared plates of Mexican food to go, along with an unusual mix of international candies.

Austin-based tattoo parlor Shaman Modifications will open its first Dallas location, but don’t expect to get any ink there. Instead, the business will operate as a piercing parlor with a wide selection of jewelry.

Barrett has previously said he’s working to bring a donut shop to the building as well, but those details are still in the works.
