Tex-Mex restaurant Muchacho is expected to open where Petra and the Beast was at Abrams Road and La Vista Drive next year.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Muchacho chef and co-founder Omar Flores signed the lease for the space and plans to make the patio bigger before opening in late 2026. A private dining room is also expected to be added.
Muchacho started off at Preston Center in 2019 and has made a few plans to expand. The menu is based off what Flores, who is also a five-time James Beard Award nominee, ate while growing up in El Paso, according to The Dallas Morning News article. The menu includes Tex-Mex classics, like tacos, enchiladas and fajitas.Â
