Toasted , near Greenville and Ross Avenues, has closed as the restaurant’s lease was expiring, and the decision was made sooner rather than later because of “unexpected, costly equipment repairs.”
“After nine wonderful years, we’ve made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Toasted Coffee + Kitchen,” the West Coast Casual restaurant posted on Nov. 15 on Instagram. “From our very first brunch to the last late-night event, you filled this room with laughter, stories and milestones — first dates, baby showers, anniversaries, graduations, engagement parties, even weddings! Serving you has been the honor of our lives, and we are deeply grateful for every visit, every recommendation and every kind word you shared.”
As for the reason for the closure, the restaurant’s statement reads: “Simply put, our lease expires soon. And unexpected, costly equipment repairs simply expedited the process by a few months. We’re proud of what we created together, and we want to close this chapter with the same intention and warmth with which we opened it.”
The post also showed gratitude to Toasted’s staff.
“To our remarkable team — past and present — thank you. Your craft, heart and grit built this place day after day. You turned ingredients into comfort, hospitality into friendship and four walls into a home. We couldn’t have come this far without your talent and care.”
