Authorities arrested a man Wednesday morning after he threatened his wife with a gun during a standoff in Old East Dallas, the Dallas Morning News reported.
A witness who lives in the house, located in the 5300 block of Lindsley Avenue, called police at 2:20 a.m. after she awoke to shouting in another room. The witness, who is the victim’s daughter, saw the gunman threatening his wife and then fled the residence.
SWAT officers set up a perimeter, and the wife exited the house about 4:30 a.m. Her husband surrendered shortly after, according to the newspaper.
The 47-year-old man was not identified. He is expected to be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
