The T Shop, located at the northwest corner of La Vista and Abrams Parkway in the Lakewood Shopping Center, is moving across the parking lot to the space that Uptown Yoga recently vacated.
Shop owner and neighborhood resident Lori Trent says the move, sometime in September, will triple the store’s current space, giving it room to expand its floral offerings and carry more gift items. Advocate readers recently voted The T Shop the best gift shop in the neighborhood, and Trent hosted a sidewalk sale this past weekend to showcase some of the shop’s more popular local vendors — Three Bishops, White Rock Soap Gallery, Kimber’s Cookies, Tribal Juices and Soza Designs.
The new space also will give The T Shop the opportunity to return to its roots as an event space. Trent says she looks forward to offering the store as a party venue and also hosting charity events that give back to the community.
On the northeast corner of La Vista and Abrams Parkway, next to Liberty Burger, construction is underway on Unleavened Fresh Kitchen, coming to the former Beads of Splendor space in summer 2015, according to its website. According to the certificate of occupancy, Corrigan Investments is the owner, and the restaurant is part of the Stock in Trade restaurant group.
