Lakewood Growler, located just east of the Mockingbird and Abrams intersection, opened last week, and if their Facebook page is any indication, apparently people “showed up in droves” to the grand opening.

Lakewood Growler is a bar/grower-filling station, as a part of the increasingly popular growler trend. Growlers are 64-ounce glass containers that look a heckofa lot like moonshine jugs. Neighbors can 1888505_810451292302401_1826647157_nbuy a growler from Lakewood Growler, or bring a growler from somewhere else, to tap into one of Lakewood Growlers’ 36 all-Texas brews.

This week they used upcoming St. Patrick’s Day as an excuse to tap outside the brewery for the first time. They brought in The Angry Leprechaun, a Irish Red Ale, from Cobra Brewing.

They open from noon to 10 p.m. every day, except Sunday when they close at 6 p.m. Check out their website or Facebook page for more.
