Neighbors might have noticed a rare spot of commotion on the normally serene, sloping greens of Lakewood Country Club. Visible from Gaston just behind Whole Foods, the construction on northeast corner of the sprawling property is concentrated on the driving range and the back portion of the clubhouse.
General Manager Raymond DeTullio called the work “a basic remodeling … that’s all it is.” Renovations are anticipated to be complete by September.
