The Lakewood Art Lab will open northwest of the Abrams Road and Gaston Avenue intersection at 6337 Prospect Ave. (which was featured on the cover of our April 2025 Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate Magazine).

“Lakewood Art Lab is a dynamic art school and creative studio space designed to serve a diverse community of artists of all ages, skill levels and interests,” reads a flyer sent to the Advocate. “Our goal is to provide an inclusive and inspiring environment where you can explore your creativity through structured classes, open studio time and engaging workshops.”

Lakewood Art Lab plans to offer art classes for children and adults, school holiday and summer camps, and parties and events, among other services. The team opening the school and studio is Lakewood native Sian Holsapple and Jacki Pavlick, who has served as president of the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA

A grand opening for Lakewood Art Lab will take place Aug. 15, and the lab will host an end of summer camp for preschoolers starting Aug. 18. Then the fall semester of classes will officially begin Aug. 27.
