Linda Booth is a 59-year-old music teacher at Lakehill Prep, who in 2009 was named Teacher of the Year by the East Dallas Chamber. And for the last six years, she’s served as a volunteer firefighter in Sunnyvale, where she lives.
Booth was in a car accident in Sunnyvale, and she realized the emergency responders helping her were her neighbors. She decided to help too, and she went to school at night for a year and became a licensed paramedic. Now she serves the Sunnyvale Volunteer Fire Department.
Booth is promoting Duracell’s “Power Those Who Protect Us” campaign. For each 10-pack of specially marked Duracell batteries sold in February, the company donates one battery to a volunteer fire department.
