Crave Dallas recently published a book, self-described as “the urban girl’s manifesto”. Crave is a national company that focuses on major metropolitan cities in each state and highlights local female business owners. It has also recognized female business owners in several international cities including Vancouver, Toronto, and Amsterdam. In the Dallas area, more than 150 female-owned businesses were chosen for the book, including a few in our neighborhood, such as D’Lish Desserts owned by Jennifer Shannon and Jennifer Walters; Penne Pomodoro owned by Anna Lombardi Diagle, The Pearl Cup owned by Carlene Saelg and Rita Davis; and Society Bakery owned by Roshi Muns. Local entrepreneur Jenn Sprinkle of Waxpaper Design House heads up the Crave Dallas chapter. The books can be purchased for $19.95 on Amazon or in any of the stores mentioned in the book, and 100 percent of the book’s proceeds goes toward the business owner.
