The Junius Heights Restoration Tour, scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Nov. 5, will feature two neighborhood church buildings that have been restored, as well as the streetcar and a few homes that are undergoing restoration or have been renovated.

One building is The Church at Junius Heights, and the other, formerly St. John’s Methodist Church, is now a residence.

The Advocate and other publications have been reporting on the status of the neighborhood’s streetcar, which, until recently, has been kept in the old Spaghetti Warehouse in town. On the tour, visitors will be able to see the front of the streetcar. While the whole car is being restored, it will be stored at Orr-Reed Wrecking Co.’s salvage yard.

In addition to the tour, the neighborhood is hosting an arts and crafts fair, where local artisans, musicians and young artists from local schools will be performing and showing their work.

Tickets to the event cost $20 and will be available for purchase at Munger Park on the day of the tour.
