Ever see those crochet coverings on trees around the Lakewood Library? It is the work of local yarn bombers, and if you have a hint of experience with knitting or crocheting you can get in on the crafty fun too. This Saturday Sally Ackerman is teaching a Yarn Bombing 101 class at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas on April 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Students will learn everything about the “yarn bombing movement” and how to create their own works of public yarn art to be displayed around the community.
There are only 8 spaces left for the class. Register online here. The class fee is $40 for members of the art center and $70 for non-members and there is also a $10 fee for materials (so no need to bring any supplies.)
