Since he was just 5-years-old, he’s been entertaining audiences around the country, going by “JaRich” on stage.

The Lakewood resident serves as a longterm substitute teacher at Eduardo Mata Montessori School, where he teaches language arts and world culture.

JaRich moved here from his home state of New Jersey just over a year ago, quickly immersing himself in the city’s music scene. Tomorrow evening, he plans to announce himself as the next great artist in Dallas.

An Evening with JaRich” will be held at Snookies in South Dallas. For people who don’t know what to expect, JaRich doesn’t mince words.

“It will be a little bit of soul, gospel, R&B and funk,” he promises. “That’s all of who I am.”

He combines elements of all four in his new song, “Free”, which released today in preparation for the event. Tickets are available via Eventbrite for $20 or at the door for $25.
