Each of the races — the 5K, 10K and 15K — start and finish at Fair Park. But the 10K and 15K in particular really venture into our neighborhood, which will affect traffic in the morning.

The courses use Haskell Avenue, Bryan Street, Munger Boulevard, Willow Street, Peak Street, Greenville Avenue, Lewis Street, La Vista Drive and West Shore Drive. The Santa Fe Trail is also used.

Races begin at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

See a map of the courses below.

Hot Chocolate events take place across the country, including in Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Tampa, San Diego, Phoenix, Seattle, St. Louis, Nashville, Columbus, Charlotte, Chicago and Oklahoma City. The first one was held in Chicago in 2008.

At the end of each race, finishers get a mug with chocolate fondue, things to dip in it and hot chocolate.

The 2022/2023 Hot Chocolate Run series supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
