Neighbor Bryan Wilson, who lives near Wilshire Baptist Church, says he spotted a coyote with a dead house cat in its mouth last week at about 10 p.m. at the stop sign on Ravendale and Ashford.
Wilson reported the sighting to the Dallas police, who told him they have received a half dozen calls from that area about coyotes recently.
“The coyote ended up dropping the cat and had a stare down with me before sulking off into the bushes near the power line easement,” Wilson says. “There were people walking their dogs nearby that were oblivious to what was going on.”
If you live in that area, be on the lookout and you might want to keep your cats inside, if possible.
