Northwood Retail purchased the center last year and is undertaking a five phase remodel that will bring in new clients. Session Pilates, Villa Nail Spa, The Little Things and Hillside Tavern are all on the way to the Lakewood intersection. The tavern is a new concept from Brooks and Bradley Anderson and Nathan Tate, the owners of Rapscallion on Lower Greenville and Boulevardier in Oak Cliff.

Northwood, who also runs the Shops at Park Lane, will remodel the center to include “wood canopy soffits, steel façade elements with wood and metal panel inserts, and refinished plaster façades with a brighter color palette,” according to a press release. The work will replace roofing and exterior lighting and develop a new parking lot and sidewalk system to improve traffic and pedestrian flow. The updates will not close down the area, which was originally built in 1954.
