It’s April in East Dallas, and that means there are home tours to enjoy. Two collections of beautiful and historic homes are on the slate for neighbors this weekend, as the White Rock Home Tour and Hollywood Home Tour open their doors to the curious.

This year’s White Rock Home Tour features four mid-century modern and three modern homes for neighbors to enjoy. It will also feature highlight Chapel Hill, a 13,000-square-foot home right on White Rock Lake built by Robert M. Brittingham, the founder of Daltile. The views, jacuzzi tubs and decor throughout the home won’t disappoint.

During the tour, grab a bite to eat at the Hexter Cafe at Hexter Elementary, which the tour supports. The tour is Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 p.m. and tickets are $15 online or $20 the day of the event. See the homes, maps and other information here.

Just a bit south, the Hollywood Home Tour shows off five homes on its tree-lined streets. A candlelight tour Friday night will start the party, with the home tour continuing on and Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 p.m. Tickets are $15 online or $20 at any of the houses.

There is also an auction party tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Dallas Arboretum, and Hollywood Art in the Park on Sunday from 12-5 p.m. The free outdoor marketplace includes food and dessert trucks, local goods, children’s activities and live music. The events support local schools such as Lumin Lindsley Park Community School, Eduardo Mata Elementary School and J.L. Long Middle School. See the homes, map and learn more here.
