The eatery located at 3000 Main St. will open in late summer 2021.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the Deep Ellum spot,” Hattie B’s co-founder Nick Bishop Jr. said in a statement. “We want to be in vibrant neighborhoods that bring people from all over the city to enjoy our hot chicken and cold beer and some good times.”

Hattie B’s is known for its hot chicken served with varying levels of spice. The menu also features Southern sides, such as crinkle fries, greens and pimento mac and cheese.

Since opening in 2012, the eatery has expanded to Memphis, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Birmingham, Alabama.

The Dallas restaurant boasts 5,800 square feet of space, about 1,000 of which will be cut from the building to create an outdoor patio. The indoor and outdoor seating will accommodate about 200 people.
