There were countless show-stopping looks at the Met Gala, and Erykah Badu wore one of them.
Our East Dallas neighbor arrived wearing a Thom Browne black silk duchess satin down stole, sport coat and suspender skirt in black cavalry twill.
Badu also carried a black purse shaped like a dachshund and wore a black top hat.
This year, the Met Gala theme was “American Independence.” The event precedes the Sept. 18 opening of “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” the first part of the Costume Institute’s exhibition. Part two, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” opens May 5, 2022.
