Ellen’s, the all-day breakfast place, is one step closer to opening its second Dallas location.
The restaurant applied for a certificate of occupancy at 1211 N. Buckner Blvd. at Casa Linda Plaza. Ellen’s already has a location Downtown.
In April 2021, The Advocate reported that the building initially intended to be Snooze would actually be Ellen’s. And it was scheduled to open by the end of last summer, but it didn’t.
Just a couple months ago in January, we reported that Ellen’s was still waiting for building permits from the City to finish out the restaurant, which was in shell condition. Once all the permits were secured, Andy Anderson of Restaurant Properties Group told us, it would take about 120 days to complete the work.
What’s new is the location on the certificate of occupancy application doesn’t match the address Ellen’s was supposed to open at (1152 N. Buckner Blvd.). We asked Anderson about this, and we’ll update when we get a response.
