The Dallas Arboretum already has themed festivities for the whole family ready for Easter weekend next month from Apr. 15 to 17.

Rory Meyer’s Children Garden will have hands-on activities for science and nature discovery. Visitors are allowed to bring their own food to the gardens or buy food there if they want to picnic.

Activities for each day from Friday through Sunday kickoff at 10 a.m. and end by 4 p.m.

On Friday, visitors can expect a petting zoo and face painting at DeGolyer Crossroads and a historic tour of the DeGolyer House. There will also be live music performances and educational workshops.

Saturday brings out much of the same activities but includes a mimosa bar, pictures with the Easter bunny and an Easter brunch on Saturday and Sunday that’s $65 for adults and $45 for children. Reservations can be made here.

Visitors are required to make online reservations, and a full schedule of events for Easter weekend can be found on DallasArboretum.org.
