The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce honored six neighborhood teachers for excellence at its monthly luncheon Tuesday.
Elementary school honors went to Israel Rivera with Mt. Auburn and Heather Hopper with Lakehill Prep; middle school honorees were Joseph Selvog with Gaston and Linda Booth with Lakehill; and high school teachers honored were Mike Moran with Woodrow Wilson and David Stepp with Bishop Lynch.
The event was held at the new Lakehill environmental center on Ferguson, and if you haven’t stopped by what Lakehill calls the Roger Perry Campus, it’s a site to behold. That area is a bit scuffy on the edges, but this facility is nestled among a bunch of trees that I didn’t even know existed from driving by, and it feels as if you’re outdoors even when you’re not.
