It seems like cool stuff is closing every week, so it’s nice that Bliss Raw Cafe and Elixir Bar is making a go of it in a 400-squre-foot restaurant space near Greenville Avenue and Lovers Lane. The restaurant opened May 1, and offers a menu of all raw, organic, vegetarian food, including tacos, non-burgers, and a dessert menu that changes daily.

The Internet tells me that "raw foodists" believe that the enzymes in raw food make it easier to digest, and that eating raw food prevents certain diseases and helps with weight loss. But, whatever. The food at Bliss is tasty even for those of us who eat lots of bacon and pork chops, said Maria Whitworth, the restaurant’s spokeswoman. And Bliss also serves a menu of "elixirs," which from what I can tell, are non-alcoholic cocktails.
