When we last left Ben Burgess, the East Dallas native was fresh off the success of writing hit country track “Whiskey Glasses,” sung by Morgan Wallen, and signing a contract with Big Loud Records. As Burgess continues to work on his first solo album, he shared a snippet of his voice in the song “Outlaw” on Wallen’s sophomore album “Dangerous: The Double Album.” Burgess, whose local claim to fame was recording the famous on-hold telephone music at Greenville Avenue Pizza Company, wrote another song, “More Surprised Than Me,” on Wallen’s album. “I feel like I’m dreaming. Thank you @morganwallen for givin me this opportunity to have my songs and voice [heard]..can’t wait to sang this one to the world with ya,” Burgess said on Facebook. Give it a listen.
