The night club neighbors love to hate, Far West on Gaston, is home to a dance music phenomenon. It is a mecca of sorts for tribal house music. For a primer on the trend, which involves pointy boots and skinny jeans, check out this video, which I have posted before. I kind of get the feeling that pointy boots are out of style now, but at around 4 minutes, tribal house musician Erick Rincón talks about Far West.

Now a feature film about the trend is in the works. “Tribaleros” is the film, which Far West owner Pablo Sanchez produced. It is a dramatized history of the tribal house movement and the Far West club. Here is the trailer.

The tag line is “Dancing was the least of their problems.” I definitely want to see this, don’t you? Will keep you posted if we hear of a release date.
