The collaboration between the two is a reflection of Alchemy’s desire and mission to make a positive impact on the lives of women in the local community. Project Beauty empowers women and children who are going through difficulties through complimentary beauty services, trauma healing programs across the DFW area, and teaching Self Love and Empowerment at shelters and transition homes.

Both the non-profit and Face Bar’s missions are aligned, and that mission is to make people feel comfortable and confident in their skin by providing self-care and self-love to groups who need it most, said Holly Jensen Aesthetics Director.

“We are thrilled to partner with Project Beauty and support their mission of empowering women through beauty and self-care,” said Bre Morris, Owner of Alchemy Face Bar. “At Alchemy, we believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident, and we are excited to work together with Project Beauty to make a positive impact on the lives of women who have experienced trauma in our community.”

Jensen said she is excited to be able to give back and connect with the nonprofit and build a community around self-care awareness and support through their event.

The Self-Care Happy Hour will include:

1. A Meditation & Sound Bath led by Project Beauty Founder Jo Lam

2. Mini Facials for all guests from a professional esthetician from Alchemy

3. Delicious charcuterie from “Graze with Me Texas”

4. Mocktails

5. A private shopping experience

6. Swag bags with face care and discounts for future services

The event is in two parts, VIP and general admission. VIP ticket holders will be pampered from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will also get an additional hour of mini services and swag items from the event. General admission will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The nonprofit is 100% donation-based, so those who can’t make the event but want help can visit the website and click Angel Donors for all donation information. Ways to get involved are on the website since the organization is operated 100% through volunteers.
