“Believe Me” is a Christian comedy that previewed at the Dallas International Film Festival last April. It’s the newest film being produced by Lascaux Films, the group neighbor Gary Cogill recently joined after leaving his 24-year career as a film critic at WFAA-TV. It was created by Riot Studios, the same group of Dallas-based young people who made the Christian films “One Nation Under God” and “Beware of Christians.”

You can see our previous write-up about the film, but to summarize: The film pokes fun at Christian culture, but it also asks the deeper question: Do Christians actually want God, or just the God experience?
