Neighbors in the 6900 block of Westlake late last night reported an attempted burglary. The neighborhood association issued this alert from a homeowner whose home was threatened by an intruder, “We wanted to alert all of our neighbors that someone apparently tried to pry our front door open shortly after midnight. We had the alarm on and it went off, apparently scaring off the would-be intruder. He tried to use a tool to pop the front door open. As you are aware our neighbors across the street were robbed within the last two weeks. Please, we must all watch out for each other.”
