As in the number of people who don’t vote?

Early voting begins today, with the prospect that hardly anyone will go to the polls. This will be truly unique, even for Dallas and its traditionally rotten municipal election turnout. I can’t find a mayoral vote, including runoffs, going back to 1991 where the total wasn’t at least 100,000 or so. Granted, neither candidate inspires much enthusiasm, but even so — these are the guys who are going to have a lot to say about how the garbage gets picked up, whether the pot holes get fixed and if we hire enough cops.

Just pick one of them. At least if your guy gets in, you’ll have a reason to send me e-mails or blog posts when I rail on him for doing something stupid. Because you know I will.
