Dallas City Hall

Dallas City Council members received their 2025-27 committee assignments from the mayor last week. Almost all of them (except for the Ad Hoc Committee on General Investigating and Ethics) have representation from East Dallas Districts 2, 9 and 14.

In other City-related news, I wrote about District 9 Park and Recreation Board member Maria Hasbany’s resignation a few weeks ago. Michael Jung was nominated and approved by the City Council last week to take Hasbany’s place on the board.

Clarification: A previous version of this story referred to Mr. Jung by his first name, but I was notified that he actually goes by “Michael.” Thus, this story has been updated.
