Way Into Music began by offering music education programs in the Dallas-area Boys & Girls Clubs and was recognized with an award from the Dallas Communities Foundation for its efforts with the organization.  It created a choir at the Lindsley Park Community School, sponsored private lessons for more than 100 students and collaborated with both the Lumin School and Booker T. Washington High School Music Guild.

Founded by Marc Solomon and his wife Amy Curnow, Zounds Sounds is a collaborative of performers, composers, educators and producers who come together to bring rhythm and harmony to the East Dallas community. The school offers guitar, bass, drum, voice and piano lessons, as well as a band program.

In the summer of 2004, Solomon figured a good way to pay his rent was to teach music in East Dallas. In 2005, Zounds Sounds was founded. By January 2006, Zounds had to relocate from a studio in Marc’s garage into their first official studio on Haskell Avenue. The company assembled a faculty of Dallas musicians such as Chris Holt, Chad Stockslager, Trey Johnson, Kinley Wolfe and Bryan Wakeland.
