The local coffee shop’s latest addition near Lakewood Theater marks the company’s seventh store with multiple locations across Dallas including Hillside Village shopping center at Mockingbird and Abrams and Preston Royal Southwest.

White Rock Coffee’s new development will open in the next few weeks where Starbucks formerly operated. (Starbucks re-opened next to Sweetgreen at Lakewood Shopping Center in August.)

Construction workers have been in and out of the coffee shop developing the interior. The company announced on Instagram they would be opening soon.

East Dallasites are eager for the opening of the new coffee shop.

“I’ve been waiting for long!!!” one user commented on their Instagram. “East Dallas is my go-to but glad to have another spot to feed my coffee addiction!” another said.

White Rock Coffee hoped to open its newest store in late fall, co-owner Nancy Baker told the Advocate in 2023.

The first White Rock Coffee opened on East Northwest Highway near Ferndale in 2005. Since then, the company has added stores at Preston-Royal, Preston Center, Snider Plaza and Rosewood Court in Uptown, and its drive-thru in East Dallas.

White Rock Coffee also has a “Brew Lab” next to the original coffee shop on Northwest Highway.

Iced, hot and blended coffee drinks made with freshly roasted beans are staples on the menu, though the shop also sells teas, refreshers, smoothies and drinks like hot chocolate. Flavored lemonades are available over the summer.

Pastries are made from scratch at White Rock Coffee’s commercial kitchen.
