This year, the foundation will distribute 30 scholarships to Woodrow Wilson High School seniors totaling $53,000.

In 2011, Woodrow awarded their first four scholarships to four students receiving $3500. Last year, they awarded 265 students $440,000 in scholarships.

Previous scholarship recipients have attended universities and colleges, including the University of Texas, Boston University, UNT, Harvard, USC, Texas A&M and SMU.

All scholarships honor the legacy and contributions of previous Woodrow community members. They must also show academic excellence, community service, leadership, and future academic and professional aspirations.

College-seeking Woodrow seniors with an 80% average GPA are eligible for at least one award, with most students eligible for ten or more scholarships.
