Seniors painted their parking lot spaces over the weekend in this back-to-school tradition.

It’s an annual back-to-school tradition at Woodrow: Seniors “buy” spaces in the student parking lot (proceeds benefit the senior class) and the weekend prior to school beginning, they paint colorful designs on their spaces. Woodrow instructor Russ Kelemen was on the pavement as temperatures, naturally, soared above 100 degrees and seniors (and sometime their friends and families) sweated their way through Saturday and Sunday. Watch Kelemen’s slideshow to see some of the artists and their accomplishments. Disclaimer: I see my senior son’s parking spot in the slideshow, but I didn’t notice his usually camera-shy face anywhere near the space.
