They competed against 17 other DISD high schools at the Alfred J. Loos Natatorium on Jan. 9.

The girls swim team took first place in the 200 medley relay, the 200 freestyle relay, and the 400 freestyle relay, and (as if that isn’t enough) they also broke the DISD All City records in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

The record-breaking freestyle relay teams consisted of team co-captains, Caroline North and Lawson Freeman, Noelle Martinez and Francesca Tissino. The 200 medley relay team was made up of Claire Gustafson, Isabella Albert, Claire Agee and Macie Burgard.

Individually, Lawson Freeman won both the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle, and she broke the All City record in the 100 freestyle. Caroline North won the 100 backstroke and broke the All City record. Francesca Tissino won the 200 freestyle, Lauren Smith-Morris placed second, and Isabella Albert placed third.

The Woodrow swim team is coached by Brook Varner. Check out the complete Woodrow swim results here.
