— Columbia Winery’s Gewürztraminer is a well-made, sweeter, but balanced wine, ideal for Chinese takeout. Did this at a tasting, and it surprised me with how good it was. Also from Columbia: its Riesling, a little sweeter, but still balanced.
— Tormaresca Chardonnay offers value and interesting varietal character from Italy.
— Hugh Hamilton Jim Jim Shiraz will appeal to everyone who doesn’t much care for the Australian style, but it has enough bite for those who like that
