Anyone who doubts that Laura Miller wants to run for John Cornyn’s U.S. Senate seat next year need look no further than this very short item stuffed into The Morning News’ business section. One doesn’t invite the news media to a deposition — about as dull a legal proceeding as there is — if one is going to live in quiet retirement in Bluffview.
We can argue about whether she can win or not — which we will, for the next 22 months. But it certainly does seem that Miller is set on running for the Senate.
