Police confirmed to the Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate that a disturbance took place around 6:48 a.m. May 6 in the 2800 block of Greenville Avenue, where a woman was assaulted by Schultze, who is 47 years old.

Schultze was arrested last week on May 28 and is facing a Class A misdemeanor assault charge as well as a parole violation charge, according to records on Dallas County’s website. His bond has been set at $500.

Dallas Police said this investigation is ongoing.

On Facebook, the victim of assault posted that the altercation with Schultze happened after she was booked for a five-hour karaoke event at Dodie’s. Afterwards, she claims that Schultze didn’t want to pay her the amount of money they agreed on. She said she was screamed at and physically assaulted in pursuit of getting the payment she says was owed to her. She also has accused Schultze of vandalizing her vehicle.

A video from the evening also resurfaced on Facebook showing the pair arguing and Schultze grabbing her by the wrist before someone intervened to split the pair apart.

In a later post, she confirmed that she did collect payment for her work.

Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate contacted the victim for an interview but could not secure one before press time.

Schultze was also reportedly convicted of aggravated sexual assault in the early 2000s and served prison time, according to FOX 4. He was also convicted of assault last year and was incarcerated again. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is also reportedly investigating this incident.

Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate reached out to Dodie’s for further comment, since the restaurant does not appear to have publicly addressed the incident. This story will be updated if we receive a response.
