The Vickery Park branch of Dallas Public Libraries is hosting their annual backpack challenge from now until Nov. 17.
Neighbors are encouraged to help homeless neighbors by donating winter supplies to the library to stock the backpacks.
In an effort of consistency for each backpack, items that the library are asking are limited to the following:
- New or gently used backpack
- Gloves
- Warm hat
- Poncho
- Warm Socks
- Scarf
- Fleece blanket
- Deck of playing cards
- Water bottle
- Travel size toiletries
