What a better way to spend the weekend than to taste wine to raise money for White Rock Lake? On Saturday and Sunday, the White Rock Lake Foundation will host the White Rock Lake Festival at Boy Scout Hill (the northeast corner of the lake by Mockingbird) to raise money for lighting for the lake’s hike, bike and pedestrian trails.
Wines will be provided by Lakewood’s Times Ten Cellars and Wine Therapist. The event runs from noon-7 p.m. each day. Admission is free, but wine is $5 a glass. For information, call 214-824-6150.
