Shapiro, the Plano Republican who is an influential member of the Texas House, is reportedly considering running for Kay Bailey Hutchinson’s U.S. Senate seat if the latter decides to run against Gov. Minority in 2010.
Miller, the former Dallas mayor who is coal business, hasn’t said she is going to run for the Senate in 2010. But every time people in the political business get together, her name comes up as a possible candidate. Now, they can’t necessarily agree on which party she would represent if she runs, but many of us do assume she wants to run for the Senate.
