Volunteers are needed for the 30th annual Carlin Morris Shoe Drive.
The annual event — formerly called the Wilkinson Center Shoe Drive — normally servers around 1,400 children in a 20-hour span, and volunteers are needed to help children find a pair of shoes that fit.
The location is at Payless ShoeSource at 1918 Buckner.
The drive needs volunteers on Sunday, July 31, from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 1-3:30 p.m. and 3:30-6 p.m. On Monday, Aug. 1, volunteers are requested from 8-10:30 a.m., 1-3:30 p.m. and 3:30-6 p.m.

Morris says if you want to sign your child up for the shoe drive, that can be done at the Wilkinson Center. They serve most East Dallas zip codes.
