A woman who was jogging alone at White Rock Lake was assaulted last month.

The sexual assault attempt occurred around 9:21 p.m. July 24 near 4300 W. Lawther Drive.

According to the White Rock Lake Task Force, it was an aggressive rape attempt. While the woman was jogging, a man on a bike “inappropriately touched” her as he passed her.

He came back and attempted to rape her. But he fled the scene on a bike when a car drove by, scaring him away.

The man has not yet been found.

Dallas police officers ask neighbors to report any groping incidents to 911 as soon as they can. They also recommend jogging with a partner or in groups.
