White Rock Abbey, Garland at Peavy, is now open.
A few months back we told you about our neighborhood’s latest beer garden and grill concept, White Rock Abbey.
White Rock Abbey owner Weylan McAmally, a pharmacist from Red Oak, told us he would keep 30-40 beers on tap and offer at least 100 bottled beers. The menu includes gourmet pizza and standard bar fare, he says: pretzels, cheese boards, and the like.

Originally the place was to be called Whiterock Abbey, but they’ve updated it to the more familiar spelling, White Rock Abbey, I see from the signage.
Drove by last night and noticed they are up and running. A better parking situation is in the works, but for now they offer free valet.
