On Jan. 20, the bar at the corner of McMillan and Henderson avenues will be unveiling a Friends theme. Most recently, it was redesigned with inspiration from The Simpsons.

“People can expect a backdrop of nostalgia with employees in costume, a photo booth and other Instagrammable photo opportunities, themed food and drink menus, interactive experiences, nightly entertainment and incredible artwork from local artist Jonny Freeman,” Phillip Schanbaum, a co-founder of This and That Hospitality, said in a news release. “Jonny’s artwork depicts our take on the characters in the television show and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Neighbors can relax on Joey and Chandler’s recliners, play foosball and grab a drink at Central Perk. Cocktails will highlight some iconic moments from the show, and the food items will be inspired by episode titles. Friends-themed merchandise will also be available for purchase.

The pop-up is only available for a limited time, starting 8 p.m. Jan. 20. Opening hours are 6 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday-Saturday. The Whippersnapper is located at 1806 McMillan Ave.
