It’s that time of year again — Girl Scout cookie season.

The new variety this year is the Adventurefuls, which are “indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored creme with a hint of sea salt.” But the other flavors — like Samoas, Do-si-dos, Tagalongs and Thin Mints — are still here.

There’s no need to go far to find those sweet treats, whether or not it’s your first time buying them this year. Girl Scouts have been selling cookies since at least 1917, when a troop in Muskogee, Oklahoma, baked cookies and sold them in the high school cafeteria as a service project. In the 1920s, scouts across the country began selling cookies for less than 50 cents per dozen.

The Girl Scouts’ website has a feature to search for sellers by ZIP code.

Here’s where and when cookies will be available in our neighborhood.
